Partial Stable Generated Models of Generalized Logic Programs with Constraints

چکیده
Logic programs are an important knowledge representation tool. In many cases, definite logic programs are too restricted to formalize problems intuitively. Therefore definite logic programs have been extended in several ways by additional syntactic constructs such as negation and disjunction. A very expressive program class are generalized logic programs. Their rules may contain any quantifier free formula in both their body and head. Definite, normal and disjunctive logic programs are special cases of generalized logic programs. Constraint logic programming, defined in [4], extends definite logic programs by constraints: logical expressions that describe special properties of the problem domain. The combination of these two extensions defines the syntax of generalized logic programs with constraints (GLPC).

Stable Generated Models of Generalized Constraint Logic Programs
We present a declarative semantics of generalized constraint logic programs based on stable generated models. Generalized logic programs contain arbitrary quantiier free formulas in the bodies and heads of their rules. Up to now the only declarative semantics for this program class is deened in terms of stable generated models introduced by Herre and Wagner. A generalized constraint logic progr...
متن کاملStable Generated Models, Partial Temporal Logic and Disjunctive Defaults
Stable generated models for extended generalized logic programs with two kinds of negation provide a semantics for logic programming in its (up to now) most general form. We show that stable generated semantics for extended logic programs coincides with the semantics obtained by translating programs into a minimal partial temporal logic. Then we introduce several new versions of (disjunctive) d...
متن کاملSemantical Foundation of Extended Generalized Logic Programs
We present a deenition of stable generated models for extended generalized logic programs (EGLP) which a) subsumes the deenition of stable models for normal logic programs of GL88], and is sound with respect to the answer set semantics for extended disjunctive programs of GL91]. and b) does not refer to negation-as-failure by allowing for arbitrary formulas in the body and in the head of a rule...
متن کاملGenerated Models and Extensions of Nonmonotonic Systems
Stable generated models provide a general semantics for logic programming. Although equal for normal programs, they diier from the answer set semantics on disjunctive programs. We show that stable generated semantics coincide with the semantics obtained by translating programs into a minimal partial temporal logic into which a subsystem of default logic can be embedded. This leads us to a new v...
متن کاملA Paraconsistent Semantics for Generalized Logic Programs
We propose a paraconsistent declarative semantics of possibly inconsistent generalized logic programs which allows for arbitrary formulas in the body and in the head of a rule (i.e. does not depend on the presence of any specific connective, such as negation(-as-failure), nor on any specific syntax of rules). For consistent generalized logic programs this semantics coincides with the stable gen...
